Challenge: The aim was to establish Emirates as a premier, global airline; operating a successful, worldwide service from a position of relative anonymity.
Solution: Bell Pottinger Public Relations recruited a network of agencies worldwide to implement a communications plan across 70+ countries on five continents. We also packaged corporate announcements and tactical solutions for media relations; sponsorships; Governments and other stakeholder relations programmes. We also organised one-to-one media briefings; events; competitions; press trips to key destinations and joint activity with industry partners to promote the emerging brand.
Result: Emirates is now a global and trusted brand, which has significant media presence and has enjoyed a 10-fold increase in media coverage and key message reporting.
