Good Relations wins Airbus global PR account.

Good Relations, part of the Bell Pottinger Group, has been appointed as the global PR agency of record for Airbus, the worlds leading aircraft manufacturer. The appointment is to support the organisations commitment to The Green Wave initiative, a United Nations environment programme aimed at raising awareness of the loss of biodiversity.

The win follows a three way pitch held in Toulouse France and will involve the management of a multi million pound environmental campaign aimed at supporting the International Year of Biodiversity in 2010.

As the leading global aircraft manufacture, Airbus has pioneered eco-efficient technologies to tackle global emissions. It is also committed to supporting initiatives that will help to create a more sustainable world. Part of this commitment is a pledge to support the United Nations Environment Programme’s Green Wave, an initiative run by the Convention on Biological Diversity to raise awareness of the loss of biodiversity.

Rainer Ohler, SVP Public Affairs and Communications explains: “We selected Good Relations because their approach mirrors Airbus so well - a global company, with local and regional expertise, and teams made up of experts in their field that can be drawn together to provide the bespoke solutions we need. They have already hit the ground running and we are looking forward to delivering some really interesting projects to support Airbus, our customers and the United Nations.

Good Relations, who already support Airbus and it’s parent company EADS in the Public Affairs arena in the UK, will lead the business, supported by sister companies Bell Pottinger Business and Brand and Corporate Citizenship.

The account will be lead by Good Relations Director Richard Moss who said “We are thrilled to be working with Airbus on this hugely exciting and important initiative.”
